WE ARE NATURE
We are a part of nature
For me, it's about making people think.
In my master's project, I deal with the often very inconsiderate treatment of mankind with nature.
With my work, I would like to call for a conscious and respectful approach to the environment.
We are created by nature and only a responsible treatment of our environment enables us to live on earth. We should keep this in mind. Every person associates emotions with different elements of nature.
The concept behind this portrait series is to photograph several people with their personal connections to nature, thus raising awareness of how important it is to them. The message to treat the environment with care is thus spread.
Wir sind Teil der Natur
Es geht mir darum, Menschen zum Nachdenken anzuregen. In meinem Masterprojekt beschäftige ich mich mit dem oft sehr rücksichtslosen Umgang der Menschheit mit der Natur.
Ich möchte mit meiner Arbeit zu einem bewussten und respektvollen Umgang mit der Umwelt aufrufen. Wir sind von der Natur geschaffen, und nur ein verantwortungsvoller Umgang mit ihr ermöglicht uns ein Leben auf der Erde. Das sollten wir im Hinterkopf behalten.
Jeder Mensch verbindet Emotionen mit verschiedenen Elementen der Natur. Das Konzept hinter dieser Portraitserie ist es, mehrere Menschen mit ihren persönlichen Verbindungen zur Natur zu fotografieren und somit ins Bewusstsein zu rufen, wie wichtig ihnen diese ist. Die Botschaft, sorgsam mit der Umwelt umzugehen wird so verbreitet.
The pollution problem
The first problem that I had in mind was the pollution problem we have in our environment. I wanted to stop the trash pollution problem.
Therefore we tried to make self portraits that matched with our master's project topics and our values.
Das erste Problem, das mir vorschwebte, war das Problem der Umweltverschmutzung, das wir in unserer Umgebung haben. Ich wollte das Problem der Müllverschmutzung stoppen.
Deshalb versuchten wir, Selbstporträts anzufertigen, die zu den Themen unseres Masterprojekts und unseren Werten passten.
Self Portrait
During that process I realized that this wasn't the problem that actually got my attention. It was the disconnection from people with nature. We treat nature as
something else without realizing that WE ARE NATURE. Everyone of us.
This lead me to my next attempt of self portraits where I tried to project nature inside of me as a metaphor for the nature inside of every human being.
Während dieses Prozesses wurde mir klar, dass dies nicht das eigentliche Problem war, das meine Aufmerksamkeit erregte. Es war die Entkopplung der Menschen von der Natur. Wir behandeln die Natur als etwas anderes, ohne zu erkennen, dass WIR DIE NATUR SIND. Jeder von uns.
Dies führte mich zu meinem nächsten Versuch von Selbstporträts, bei denen ich versuchte, die Natur in mir als Metapher für die Natur in jedem Menschen zu projizieren.
Campaign Ideation
The last step was thinking about a fictional campaign or packaging for our project.
I was thinking about a poster series or instagram story movement where everyone has this filters and can choose which phenomenon/element in nature means much to
him- or herself and which they would like to protect and preserve. I started a test with my friends and made a draft for the posters. This work is still in progress.
Der letzte Schritt war, sich eine mögliche Kampagne oder Verpackung für das Projekt auszudenken.
Ich dachte an eine Posterserie oder ein Instagram-Story-Movement, bei der jeder diesen Filter hat und auswählen kann, welches Phänomen/Element in der Natur ihm oder ihr viel bedeutet und welches er oder sie schützen und bewahren möchte. Ich habe einen Test mit meinen Freunden gestartet und einen Entwurf für die Poster gemacht. Diese Arbeit ist noch im Gange.
